For The Love of Blossoms
There are over 100 garden clubs in the District, Maryland and Northern Virginia area (DMV) with a mission to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibility. This mission is closely allied to the mission of Ikebana International, and especially I.I. Chapter No.1, Washington, D.C. Our motto of Friendship through Flowers and the NCAGC “growing friendship” slogans dovetail nicely.
Collaborations between our organizations are natural. Naturalists of a kind, many of our members are gardeners, floral designers, horticulturalists, and conservationists.
We have set up this page on our website to be able to better feature our collaborative activities. On this page, we will provide information about garden club activities and events of interest to our members and others who share our interests. Garden clubs within the DMV region are invited to share their related news and events with us, helping us grow our knowledge base as gardeners and as advocates of a healthy environment.
Submissions can be sent using our Contact US link and can include: Field trips House & Garden Tours Fundraisers Demonstrations Lectures, etc.
We look forward to highlighting your activity within our community of Ikebana enthusiasts, cultivating a sense of camaraderie from our joint experiences.
