About Our Demonstrator
Naohiro Kasuya, Iemoto of the Ichiyo School, has graciously agreed to be our guest demonstrator for this very special anniversary luncheon. This year’s theme celebrates the fascinating bridge between traditional Japanese floral art and contemporary Japanese visual culture.
Anime, the internationally celebrated style of Japanese animation, is known for its colorful imagery, emotional storytelling, and appeal to audiences of all ages. Today, anime has become a worldwide cultural phenomenon and an important showcase for contemporary Japanese artistic expression. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to introduce traditional Japanese arts to younger generations.
Schedule of Events for October 10, 2026
9 AM to 3:30 PM EXHIBITION & GINZA
Ikebana arrangements by our members will be on display at the same time that 13 vendors will have a special celebratory Ginza. Cash or checks are accepted for the Ginza.
10 AM to 1:30 PM SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE
Several items will be available for the Silent Auction that ends at 1:30 PM. One special item will be raffled.
11 AM IKEBANA DEMONSTRATION
Ichiyo Iemoto Naohiro Kasuya is visiting from Japan and will be our demonstrator.
12:30 PM LUNCH
