This scrapbook, the last of six in the Ellen Gordon Allen Collection, contains materials from the First and Second World Conventions of Ikebana International, held in 1965 and 1970 in Tokyo, Japan; the Fourth U.S. Ikebana International Conference, held in 1966 in Atlanta, Georgia; and other events sponsored by I. I. Chapter No. 1, Washington, D.C.  The latter includes the 1968 visit by Headmaster Houn Ohara.  Also included are photographs of Ellen Gordon Allen, accompanied by Sofu Teshigahara (Sogetsu School Founder), receiving an award from the Foreign Ministry of Japan.

The scrapbook materials are presented in two formats.  A PDF file in text and a picture gallery where each page or two pages were captured as .jpeg files.   .tiff files also exist and may be used for future projects where high-quality pictures are needed, but these are not added to this website.
