SB 5 – The Dogwood Project 1965

This page includes articles and pictures of our historical scrapbook entitled The Dogwood Project 1965

This scrapbook, the fifth of six in the Ellen Gordon Allen Collection, documents the project to donate 150 dogwood trees to Japan as a reciprocal gift for the Japanese cherry trees in Washington, D.C.  Known as “The Dogwood Project”, this effort was initiated, organized and carried out by Ellen Gordon Allen and members of Ikebana International in the U. S.
